Alexander Termite Treatment Benefits

termite control

ONE PROVEN SOLUTION

We perform liquid soil treatments using TERMIDOR® Termiticide because it is undetectable to termites, so they can’t see, smell, taste or avoid it. Instead they ingest it and share it – a process called the “Transfer Effect.”

The methods of treatment vary with each house but by drilling and digging narrow trenches, Termidor is applied all the places it is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I have termites?

Some signs of termites and termite damage are swarms, peeling wall paper or paint, or mud tunnels originating in the soil. Sometimes they can be hard to spot, so we recommend having a professional inspect your home.

Why is termite treatment important?

The USDA reports that termites cause billions worth of damage annually to homes in the United States, and could cost an individual homeowner thousands of dollars. The cost of damage to a specific home depends on the type of wood, location and extent of destruction prior to treatment. In extreme cases some houses are demolished if damage so extensive that it destroys the structural integrity of the home.

How much will it cost to treat my house for termites?

Cost of treatment depends on the size of the home and the construction features. Our inspector will measure the foundation and provide you with a fixed price quote at no charge.

How long does termite treatment last?

Termidor is designed to bind to the soil beneath the foundation of your home. Its lifetime depends on environmental factors and whether soil has been disturbed due to landscaping or erosion. Alexander’s treatment guarantee is annually renewable for up to ten years, subject to the terms of the service agreement.

What does a termite inspection involve?

It involves a visual inspection of your home by our experienced technician. The inspector will cover the exterior areas, garage, and crawl space or foundation level areas on routine inspection. They will be able to determine if there is any visible evidence. Sometimes termites are hidden in wall voids or other structures and may not be visible until they have done significant damage. That is why it is very important to have an effective termite treatment performed so that your home is protected from a potentially hidden invader.

What is a termite guarantee?

All termite treatments come with a One Year Guarantee. The first year’s guarantee is included in the cost of initial termite treatment. If termites return, so will we, and we will re-treat at no additional cost. Our guarantee is renewable for an annual fee, and can be renewed for up to ten years of protection. This includes an annual inspection of your home. A Damage Guarantee is offered for qualified properties. A damage guarantee will pay for the cost of repairing termite damage as long as you are under guarantee.

What is Termidor?

Termidor is a nonrepellant termiticide. It is undetectable to termites, so they cannot see, smell, taste or avoid it. Instead, they contact, ingest, and share it. Termites that come into contact with Termidor transfer it to others they touch in a process called the “Transfer Effect™” Termidor is slow acting, so termites have a chance to spread it through the colony which makes it better than other liquid termiticides.

Can I apply Termidor myself?

No, only trained, Termidor Certified Professionals can apply Termidor

Does Termidor smell?

No, Termidor has virtually no odor.

Is Termidor really better than other termiticides?

Yes, Termidor has consistently show exceptional results in more that 10 million homes treated throughout the United States since its launch in March 2000. In over twenty years of field trials with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Termidor has eliminated 100% of subterranean termites in all tests.

What is a “Termite letter?”

Commonly called a “Clearance Letter,” “Termite Letter,” or “Inspection Report,” the “Official Georgia Wood Infestation Inspection Report”  is a report associated with the purchase and sale of real estate in Georgia. Following a comprehensive inspection, it is a written report covering 5 wood destroying organisms (Subterranean Termites, Powder Post Beetles, Wood Boring Beetles, Dry Wood Termites, and Wood Decaying Fungus). The Inspection Report also provides a 90 day warranty for infestation by any of these organisms. The scope of the inspection and the form of the Inspection Report are determined by the Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission and can only be performed by a licensed pest control company.
